Colors

I find this article interesting. Color has always been something I'm interested in. My "favorite" color changes frequently- so much that I can't pick just one. I can't imagine branding a color, just ONE color, to represent my company forever.

Color can change your mood, and your perception. One of the greatest obstacles I deal with on the job is people who don't understand color theory and the impact color choices make on their graphics. YOU may like mauve and puce, but do your customers? Sometimes there's scientific theory to back up color choices. Ever notice that McDonalds and Burger King use predominantly yellow and red? It's because those colors actually trigger feelings of hunger. Blue does exactly the opposite. That's why diet plates are blue. Blue plate special anyone?

The first company I thought of when I read the following article was Tiffany's blue boxes. I can see using a specific PMS color (Pre Mixed Solution), but telling others you own it? I don't know...
